Thanks for Joining The NEW North West Senior Scratch Tour
Why I set up the Tour
This morning I tried to enter an England Golf Senior event, registration opened at 9am, by 10am all six events were oversubscribed, that’s 120 players per event. This is the case for ALL senior singles events, oversubscribed. At 66 years old I’m still competitive, I’m not keen on senior fourball events and would rather test my game against other senior players. I’m also not keen on driving all over the country to achieve this.
New R&A Ruling.
You can now win up to £700 cash without affecting your amateur status, no golf vouchers to collect more golf stuff you don’t need. The bigger the entry the more cash you could win. Tell your golfing mates.
How it Works.
Join today by clicking on the link. The £10 fee goes towards administration and organising the events. My ultimate aim is to have six events per year, cost will be the green fee I negotiate based on numbers plus £10 in the kitty.
So, if 100 players compete the £1,000 kitty will be split at ratio of 55%, 30%, 15% for 1st, 2nd & 3rd with two age categories Over 55’s & Over 65’s.
If your maths is not your point its £275, £150, £75 for each category winner based on 100 players. Tell your golfing mates today
Handicap Limit
It’s 7 handicap and yes you could be competing level against a scratch player is that fair? Is competing against a player of 24 handicap any fairer. A scratch player can have an off day, you have a good day, it can happen.
When & Where is the first event
I need at least 60 players to join the Tour before I can book decent courses. I have already started to contact courses on the assumption I get the support. So once again tell your golfing mates, they must be 55 years or over with a handicap of 7 or less.
